Three sign layouts are shown for your consideration. As you look at them, know that:
Each of the 3 signs responds to input on "type" of sign desired :
Whether we have a single "design" or perhaps 2 different designs, requires discussion and agreement. A uniform sign allows for "branding" while different signs allows flexibility. I am persuaded by either argument and look forward to our discussion.
Please feel free to show/share this page with whomever. At this time there are no "actual" logos that would be compromised (copyright wise) by public viewing. On that note however, the placement of the logos for sponsors is in the traditional 'bottom line-up' location. Each way station can choose which logos appear in which spot because the signs are produced individually.
And that brings up another option. Should the sign indicate its location? I think not, but it could.
- The little black squares represent QR codes that would be scanned by a phone and lead to an appropriate informational link. We would agree on content.
- Images are "temporary" for example purposes and can be changed.
- Changing sizes of things will alter the entire layout, so be cautious about recommending changes to objects.
- The logo squares with QR at the bottom of each sign are simply placeholders for sponsors. The size is 2 inches square.
- The story' has to be written and agreed upon. Space will determine how much is there.
- The font I have chosen is purely a personal preference: we can debate and agree on a different font.
- The source size of the signs is 18x24 inches (3x4 ratio) because I must create the sign "actual size" and for now, the only theme we have is a 3x4 ratio, with many desiring 18x24 but some preferring 36x48. I believe we can accommodate both sizes (though it is more work for me).
- The text for the story is 72 pt font (1 inch for a capital letter).
Each of the 3 signs responds to input on "type" of sign desired :
- The first (Waystation a place for pollinators -- rectangle format) relating to a 'traditional' info sign;
- The second sign (way station 4 pollinators -- monarch corner format) relating to a "invitation to look' sign that will draw people toward it to check out the QR codes (though information is clearly shown); and
- The third (pollinator way station -- curved) is somewhere in between.
